Hello there!

Just over 2 years ago Reuben embarked on a new adventure to begin a new life in Spain with his brother Manni. It´s not that he doesn´t like England but his situation there in a Mencap home led to a severe deterioration in his health and general well-being. Witnessing such a lack of integral care and poor provision for his future, his brother Manni decided to invite him to Spain to live a healthier and more productive life in Spain.

It took a while for Reuben to feel at home. At first he missed England a great deal but little by little he has discovered little pockets of British culture that keep his appetite for “Britain” satisfied; a little trip to Iceland, a day in Gibraltar, satellite TV, Poundland etc. He has even found a place near his home that serves up a smashing Cottage Pie! Life is good and yet the days here are long.

He has decided that it is time to give back. It is time to communicate his message and tell people about what he has achieved and continues to achieve, striving towards more independence on a daily basis in his “adopted” home.

www.reubensworld.com is about giving back on behalf of all those people that have loved him and supported him along the way. They are many and spread throughout the world. He has chosen Wateraid as the charity he wants to support as it shocked him when he learnt that some children do not have access to clean water. Let´s start with the basics. We are delighted to team up with such a fantastic charity.
