Manni, Reuben’s brother, was reading about a new Spanish study that has shown that a compound found in green tea may help to improve memory and brain function of people with Down Syndrome. He and Reuben decided to try it out and The Great Green Tea Experiment was born.
Reuben and I (Diana) decided to do an interview to discover what Reubs thought of this experiment and how it is affecting him.
Diana: Do you like Green tea Reubs?
Reuben: It’s amazing, is like a cup of love.
Diana: What flavours of green tea do you like?
Reuben: I like lemon and mint green tea.
Diana: Do you think green tea will help you?
Reuben: Oh yeah! Some green tea does help people with Down Syndrome.
Diana: Has it made any difference to your life so far?
Reuben: No difference yet but it’s amazing.
Diana: Has your memory improved at all?
Reuben: Not yet, I have an amazing memory anyway!
Diana: There will be no stopping you! What’s next for the amazing Reuben Coe?
Reuben: Torremolinos tomorrow for Andrew’s birthday then to stay with Father and Mother in UK next week.
So no big changes just yet but as this is an on-going experiment I’m sure Reuben will tell you all more about it very soon and in the meantime he will be enjoying his green tea hot, with lemon or mint, or ice cold for this hot Spanish summer.
Until next time,
Love Reubs (and Diana).
